Certified Graduate Remodelor™ (CGR)

The CGR designation, sponsored by the NAHB Remodelors Council, requires that graduates meet prescribed standards of business practice, possess a minimum of five years remodeling industry experience, have a proven track record of successful project management, complete a comprehensive education curriculum, and pledge to uphold the program’s code of ethics.

Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS)

The NAHB and AARP developed the CAPS program to address the unique needs of the older adult population. As CAPS professionals, we have been taught the strategies and techniques for designing and building aesthetically enriching, barrier-free living environments, including codes, standards, projects and practical solutions. We maintain our designation through continuing education programs and community service.

Licensing

We have maintained our South Carolina General Contractor’s License (#15599) continuously since 1984.

Insurance

Remodeling Services Unlimited and its employees are fully insured with both Worker’s Compensation and General Liability insurance.

Certified Pella Contractor

Remodeling Services Unlimited has been selected by Pella Corporation and the Distributor for membership in this select group of respected independent contractors who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to quality, service and customer satisfaction.

Code Plus Professional

American Plywood Association Designation for operating in adherence to the Code Plus requirements for quality construction in floors, walls and roofs (since 1993).

The Home Builder’s Association of Greater Columbia

The Home Builder’s Association of Greater Columbia is a local professional association comprised of small-, moderate-, and large-volume residential home builders, multifamily and commercial builders, and remodeling contractors. Associate members represent a broad spectrum of professionals supporting the building industry in its many facets. They include subcontractors, retail and wholesale suppliers, architects, engineers, mortgage lenders, realtors and many other professionals. These Builder and Associate Members have been working together inthe HBA of Greater Columbia since 1958 to make the American dream of home ownership a reality for Columbia residents.

NAHB

NAHB is a trade association that helps promote the policies that make housing a national priority. Since 1942, NAHB has been serving its members, the housing industry, and the public at large.

Certified Green Professional (CGP)

CGP is a national certification administered by the National Association of Home Builders. Green building uses a whole house approach to build homes that are more environmentall sustainable. Building science has a key role because it provides an understanding of the “whole house” that goes beyond seeing a home as justa a summation of its individual parts. It is the interaction of all of the parts of a home; its systems and equipment, its occupants and the structure itself that defines a “whole house.”

South Carolina Master Builder (SCMB)

The SC Master Builder program is a professional designation program created by the Home Builders Association of SC to help homeowners to identify exemplary builders who have a proven track record of stability, integrity and service to their buyers.
